In development....... (a project that deals with "t he  uncanny valley" -  a hypothesis in the field of human aesthetics which holds that when human features look and move almost, but not exactly, like natural human beings, it causes a response of  revulsion  among some human observers. The "valley" refers to the dip in a graph of the comfort level of humans as subjects move toward a healthy, natural human likeness described in a  function  of a subject's aesthetic acceptability. Examples can be found in the fields of  robotics  and  3D   computer animation , a mong others. The series mixes landscape photography with 3D generated female figures using DAZ 3D modelling software.)
       
     
Visual Projects / (NSFW) Uncanny Valley
SYNOPSIS: An ongoing personal project that mixes self processed 35mm b&w film photography (of a large scale, live-streaming, wall projected image) with iPhone/iPad photo captures & manipulations in order to create intimate portraits of 'camgirls' from private, virtual chat rooms. The aim is to intentionally portray them close up, as in macro photography where the faces become slightly distorted, which at the same time seems distant and disconnected from the physical reality, as if they seem more like virtual characters than real people.
